Success Case - Peach 'Redhaven'

💚 Last year, we had a huge harvest with less damage from pests.

04/05    54F/39F

  • To get rid of overwintered insects, removed dead leaves and seeds from the ground.

05/21    77F / 45F

  • Covered the ground with about an inch of worm casting (improves immunity and deters insects).
  • Layered with home-made compost to enrich soil.
  • Covered with a thick layer of cedar mulch (deters insects).

06/14~    66F / 53F

  • 5 organic fertilizer stakes around the tree.
  • Picked off any fruits with holes.
  • Removed anything touching the fruits (other fruits, leaves and branches) - in the past, those fruits tended to have more insect damage.
  • Continue to clean up fallen fruits.
